The Loar LH-204-BR Brownstone
If you're looking for a "big" sound from your acoustic, then this probably isn't the guitar for you.
What do I mean by that? Well, this guitar is modeled after the pre-war guitars that were used by Blues legends such as Robert Johnson. It isn't a room filler, but rather a very vintage and plucky sound.
The finger picking experience (highly recommended method of playing this Thomann guitar) is stellar. Each note rings out clearly in a manner that immediately lets you know that you are not playing a cheaply built instrument.
The tone itself is very warm as the mahogany back and sides counter the possible brightness of the solid spruce top. It's Thomann recommended to pull out your old blues licks, and even put on a thumb pick and slide, and just let loose.
Looks? It's a downright beauty. I want to hang it up on the wall. The design is breathtakingly beautiful with the pre-war bindings. The finish itself Thomann is stellar in any light at any angle.
I would recommend this guitar for sure. Keep in mind, coming from the factory, it needs a setup for sure. That's the best way to tap into the potential lying within.
